Unlike in Europe where hand made, delicious cheeses are for sale at every tiny shop in the neighborhood, we here in the U.S. Humboldt Fog has become recognizable as an artisanal cheese from a smaller creamery because of its availability at places like Whole Foods Market. As you can see from this photo, we dove into it like vultures and did some serious damage! Just like most goat cheeses, this Humboldt fog would pair perfectly with a crisp, Sauvignon Blanc wine, including some of our favorites from past tastings.
